Orchard | Nami
A two-part project to design the interior of a store and creating a furniture to match the interior.
お茶ードの波 (Orchard no Nami)
A pun in the naming, from the district「 Orchard」and Ocha, this interior design aims to bring Japanese culture to Singapore and allow Singaporeans to enjoy authentic Japanese matcha and sweets in a relaxing tea house atmosphere even in the bustling heart of Singapore. The Sakura pattern on the floor will lead the customers to the register to purchase the items and they may proceed to the seating area at the patio to enjoy tea and sweets.
Shaped like the waves of the ocean 「Nami」is a piece that brings the elements of the sea to the land combining the beauty of the waves. Designed to be placed on the biwa dana in the tea house, amplifying the beauty and showcases what Japanese Ikebana is to visitors, allowing them to enjoy seasonal flowers and appreciate the Japanese flower arrangement culture
